More About Us.....

Glenn Murray
Glenn Murray is a social media expert, marketing executive and founder and CEO of 200 Communications, a company dedicated to the marketing and promotion of the arts and special events. Mr. Murray has held positions in the marketing departments at top U.S. companies including General Electric, Leo Burnett, Sears and Discover Card. His desire to become an entrepreneur and apply what he had learned as a marketing executive in corporate America led him to found Kreations Art in 2000 to assist his parents with promoting their African imported art business. Under that venture, Mr. Murray led promotional campaigns for art shows, book signings and social events, and launched an online gallery (Kreationsart.com), gaining a roster of more than 10 independent artists.
In 2005, Mr. Murray established 220 Communications as a vehicle to expand his outreach and respond to numerous requests to apply his marketing expertise in other areas. An early practitioner of Internet marketing and social media, Mr. Murray has created promotional campaigns for the arts, independent film, music, and networking and themed events, as well as the creators of a relationship board game. He has successfully applied the principals of direct marketing in the social media arena. As a result, 220 Communications’ marketing prowess has expanded to include promotions and partnerships in Chicago, Detroit, Memphis, Dallas, Atlanta, Milwaukee and Los Angeles. The company produces more than 20 events a year, with more than half benefiting a designated charity through signature events such as Authors and Artists, Pampering for A Purpose, Wine for a Cause and Non Profit Social Fairs.
An arts and entertainment writer, Mr. Murray pens a blog for the NBC Chicago Street Team and is a contributor to Thelocaltourist.com, and 360 and Allezom magazines. He is a member of the board of directors for South Central Community services and Dance Pink, a charity supporting breast cancer research. He also volunteers for the annual fundraising gala for PAVE (Promoting Awareness Victim Empowerment), and is a past member of the DuSable Museum’s Young Adult Board and the YMCA Adult Achievers program.
